The Fixture. Every weekend, we go through the fixture list so you don't have to.

As we head towards the inevitable World Cup break for nearly every soccer league in the world, it's important to remember the journey is part of the enjoyment.

Before we play a World Cup match, even before the official squads are announced on June 2, we get a high-level European final between two domestic league champions in Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain.

For Arsenal it's their first UCL final since 2006. For PSG, the team that bounced the Gunners last year, it's a chance for back-to-back titles.

Saturday, Sunday and the early part of the week are dominated by World Cup friendlies. Here's your chance to see these teams before they lay it all on the line in the USA, Canada, and Mexico.

    • The Champions League final, at the Puskas Arena in Budapest. Arsenal's first European final in two decades, and they drew the team that ended their run a year ago.
  • Toluca vs Tigres - Sat, 8:00 p.m. ET · FS1 / FOX Deportes / TUDN
    • The CONCACAF Champions Cup final, single match at the Nemesio Diez. It's an all-Liga MX final, which has quietly become the only kind the region produces.
  • Mexico vs Australia - Sat, 10:00 p.m. ET · TUDN / Univision / ViX
    • Mexico's last home audition before they co-host the whole thing, at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. Late kickoff, big crowd, the GOL calls you already hear in your head.

Sunday, May 31

  • USA vs Senegal - Sun, 3:30 p.m. ET · TNT / truTV / HBO Max (Universo / Telemundo / Peacock in Spanish)
    • The USMNT's final serious test before the World Cup, and the hardest name left on the schedule. Senegal arrive among the best teams in Africa and deep in attacking talent. Charlotte gets its second-ever U.S. men's match, at Bank of America Stadium.
  • Brighton vs Manchester City - Sun, 10:00 a.m. ET · CBS Sports Network
    • The Women's FA Cup final at Wembley. Brighton's first, City chasing the trophy they last lifted in 2020.
  • Germany vs Finland - Sun, 2:45 p.m. ET · FS2 / ViX
    • Germany tune up in Mainz before they fly across the pond. Not the headline. Still Germany. You'll watch it.
